About me

Surrey Hills Dog Walkers owner, Stu, with his dog Artie

After more than 25 years working in public relations and communications, I decided it was time for a different kind of working life.

For much of my career, I helped organisations tell their stories. I enjoyed the creativity and the people, but over time I found myself wanting something simpler, more tangible and more connected to everyday life.

I wanted to spend less time behind a desk and more time outdoors. Less time in meetings and more time doing work that left me feeling energised at the end of the day.

I've always loved walking. I've always loved dogs. And I genuinely enjoy meeting people and getting to know the communities around me.

Surrey Hills Dog Walkers brings those things together.

I focus on small group countryside walks where dogs have the space to explore, exercise, socialise and simply enjoy being dogs. Keeping groups small also means I can give every dog the attention, care and supervision they deserve.

Living in the centre of the Surrey Hills means I'm surrounded by some of the county's most beautiful countryside, and that's exactly where we'll spend our mornings exploring woodlands, fields and trails.

My previous career might seem an unusual route into dog walking, but it taught me something that's just as important here: trust.

Whether you're looking after someone's reputation or looking after someone's dog, people are placing something important in your hands. They need to know you'll do what you say you'll do, communicate well and genuinely care.

I'll turn up when I say I will. I'll keep you updated. I'll treat your dog with patience, kindness and respect. And I'll always aim to send them home happy, exercised and ready for a well-earned snooze.
